Tom Fangman is a Vice President in Cerner’s Population Health Consulting organization based in Kansas City, MO, USA. He leads a performance improvement team that uses Cerner’s big data platform HealtheIntent ™ for clinical, financial, and operational improvements in the health and care of populations.
Since Tom joined Cerner in 1996, he has led the engineering for PathNet ® Outreach, MillenniumObjects® and PowerChart ® Outreach. He led the initial design of the CareAware iBus ® which integrates medical devices to become part of the EHR versus an island of information. Most recently Tom led the strategy for the HealtheIntent ™ tools and services to provide Master Data Management as a Service (MDMaaS).
Prior to joining Cerner, Fangman worked at AT&T for five years, specializing in business process re-engineering and system design. He also worked for Cap Gemini Consulting in a similar role.
